Been a while!

So four kids keeps things exciting!

The back porch is done and now very functional. I learned how to make stucco and was able to finish up the outside walls well.

The back deck is great...and now home to a bit of light snow that has covered it.

Now the boat has gone to storage and we are putting a few more steps into winterization. I'm hoping for one more warmish day to hang a pile of window insulator kids on the main windows in the house. They are single panes. The storms make them double. And 3M should come through for a third.

We have scheduled a home energy audit, and I look forward to some infrared images of the walls of this place. That will help to learn where to focus more efforts of insulation!

Next up for the house...we need a couple of outside lights over the deck. I hope to also beef up the insulation over the kitchen to help the roof situation there. There will need to be some new shingles there soon!



On the project list...building a light kit for J's gecko world. Then accommodating some kittens into the zoo!
